Performance Car magazine, August 1998
In the August 1998 edition of 'Performance Car' magazine, they include the AC Cobra amongst 14 other cars as undeserved icons (alongside the Dodge Viper, Mitsubishi 3000 GT, Chevrolet Corvette 1998, BMW Z1, etc.) and write .....

"It looks fabulous, it accelerates with such savage force it could thrust your spine through your ribcage, it has a distinguished racing career, and it's lusted after the world over. The Cobra's part of the American automotive dream, goddammit!
Trouble is, that dream is also a nightmare. The Cobra's an absolute brute to drive - brute as in pig. It lacks finesse, it isn't agile, and the steering's so slow and heavy that if you get the tail out of shape only a strong-armed genius can get it back in line. And if the road is a bit wet, be very afraid.
Away from the track the Cobra's one of the most overrated sports cars ever, unworthy of the reverence thrown its way."

OK, it seems that someone has been pampered by modern hatchbacks for so long that they have forgotten how to have fun. If you want to get rid of that horrible AC Cobra, Dodge Viper, Corvette, etc., drop me an E-Mail - I'll give your rubbish a good home, without complaining too much.
